Okay, here’s my sharing about getting a High imitation Rolex GMT-Master II Left-Handed Version:
So, the other day, I decided to get one of those high imitation Rolex watches. You know, the GMT-Master II, but the left-handed version. My neighbor’s kid, he’s got one. Always flashing it around. I used to think, “Big deal, it’s just a watch.” But, this one, it got me thinking. It is a Rolex GMT Master II, reference 116718LN. I saw it combines a yellow gold case, a full black ceramic bezel, and Rolex’s signature green dial.
First, I started looking around online. Man, there are tons of places selling these things. It is said the best 3 hottest Rolex are the Rolex Daytona 116500, the Rolex Submariner 116610, and the Rolex GMT-Master II 116710. Prices are all over the place. Some seemed too good to be true, others, well, they were asking for an arm and a leg.
I asked around, talked to a few buddies who are into watches. One of them pointed me to this one website. Said they had a good reputation and the prices were decent, after I browsed for a while, I still doubted, I don’t trust online shopping.
After a lot of back and forth, I finally decided to go to the street shop. The guy behind the counter, he showed me a few different ones. They all looked pretty good, to be honest. But this one, the GMT-Master II, it just stood out. It felt solid, you know? Not like some cheap knock-off.
I asked about the details like water resistance and accuracy, etc. He said that the Rolex GMT-Master is typically water-resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet) and suitable for swimming and snorkeling. And the Models are accurate to +2/-2 seconds per day when cased.
- Looked at the details. The crown, the date window, the little cyclops lens thingy. Everything looked spot on.
- Checked the movement. It wasn’t a real Rolex movement, obviously, but it was a decent automatic one.
- Tried it on. Felt good on the wrist. Not too heavy, not too light. Just right.
Finally, I pulled the trigger. Paid the man, walked out of the store with my new “Rolex.” I know it’s not a real Rolex and this is a discontinued model. But honestly, it looks and feels pretty darn close. It is almost guaranteed to maintain its value. And for the price I paid, I’m happy with it.
So, that’s my story. If you’re thinking about getting a high imitation Rolex, just do your research, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. And who knows, maybe you’ll end up with a pretty sweet watch, just like I did.
