This here, this Yves Saint Laurent, or what they call YSL COLLEGE BAG, I heard it’s all the rage now. My granddaughter, she’s always on that phone, showed me. Said all the fancy folks got one. Well, I’ll tell you what, it ain’t nothin’ but a bag. A fancy, pricy bag, but still a bag.
Now, I seen a lot of bags in my day. Feed sacks, flour sacks, even them fancy cloth ones they started sellin’ at the store. This YSL bag, it’s got that shiny stuff on it. Looks kinda like that fancy paper we used to wrap presents in back when we had a little extra. But fancy paper or not, all it is a bag. You need good material for bags.
- Need a good strap, that’s for sure. Can’t have it breakin’ when you got your stuff in it.
- Gotta be able to hold things. What good’s a bag if it can’t hold nothin’?
- And it better last. No point in spendin’ good money on somethin’ that’s gonna fall apart.
They say this YSL COLLEGE BAG, it’s from some special store. Someplace called a…a “Specialty Store.” Probably cost a pretty penny, buy from them stores. Back in my day, we made our own, or we went to the general store. Didn’t have no “Specialty Stores.” Just stores that sold what you needed.
I reckon folks like these fancy things. Makes ’em feel good, I suppose. Like they got somethin’ special. This bag is COMPACT AND FUNCTIONAL, I heard. My old bag, it’s seen better days, but it still holds my things. I don’t need no shiny paper or fancy name. My old purse is big enough for all my needs.
This here YSL bag dupe, or whatever they call it. Heard my granddaughter talkin’ ’bout that, too. Says you can get one that looks just like it, but it don’t cost as much. Sounds like a better deal to me. If you just want the look. Don’t need that special paper, just need the bag.
They got all kinds of these bags now. Big ones, little ones, all different colors. This YSL COLLEGE is a little one, I think. Good for carryin’ just a few things. Like when you go to town and don’t wanna lug around a big old sack. But if you buy too many things, you will need a bigger bag.
My granddaughter, she likes that Tory Burch, too. Said it’s kinda like this YSL. Got that… that “chevron” thing on it. Looks like a bunch of V’s all lined up. I don’t know. Seems like a lot of fuss over a bag. But young folks, they like their fancy things. They like all these YSL bag dupes.
Back in my day, a bag was a bag. You used it till it wore out, then you got another one. Didn’t matter what name was on it, long as it held your stuff. These days, everything’s got a name. And these names, they cost ya. Cost ya a lot. You can buy a YSL Loulou, they said it is very good. But I don’t know what it is.
This Yves Saint Laurent, they say he was some fancy designer. Made all kinds of things, not just bags. Clothes and whatnot. Started his own place, his own… “maison” I think they called it. Fancy word for house, if you ask me. But that’s what they call it, this YSL place. Sounds like a lot of hoity-toity for somethin’ you carry your stuff in. This designer sure knows how to sell.
They are talking about YSL bag dupe in 2024. I don’t know what year it is, but I am sure you can buy it if you have money. You can also find Saint Laurent dupes. I heard it is cheap. If you buy from these Specialty Stores, you will spend a lot of money. You should be careful.
I guess if you got the money, and you like these fancy things, then go ahead. Get yourself one of these YSL COLLEGE BAGs. Or one of them dupes, if you’re smart. Just remember, at the end of the day, it’s just a bag. Don’t let them fancy names fool ya. A good bag’s a good bag, no matter what it says on the side. These bags are good for the young people, not for me. I don’t need these bags.
