Fendi Lookalike: This Cuoio Mini Bucket Bag with the F is Fendi Logo Is So Chic

Okay, let’s talk about this Fendi bag I’ve been working on. It’s called the “Perfect CopyFendi Vitello King F is Fendi Logo Embossed Mini Mon Tresor Bucket Bag CuoioQuote.” Sounds fancy, right? But it’s really just a mini bucket bag. A cute one, though.

So, I started this project because, well, I love Fendi. Their stuff is always so stylish. I mean, have you seen their Baguette and Peekaboo bags? Classics! They scream luxury and good taste. They hold their value pretty well too, especially the Baguette. It’s like, if you know, you know. I came across some info saying the Baguette kept 113% of its value in 2023! That’s insane. And Peekaboo is like that too! I’ve read that it is crafted with 220 hand-sewn stitches. So, I wanted to try my hand at recreating one of their newer styles, this Mini Mon Tresor Bucket Bag.

First things first, I had to gather my materials. Now, Fendi uses this really nice calfskin leather, so I got some that felt pretty similar. It’s that soft, but durable kind. This one’s in a color called “Cuoio” which is like a light, caramel brown. I also got the thread in a similar color to do the stitching. I wanted it to look as close to the original as possible. And, of course, I needed the F is Fendi logo. That’s the part that really makes it stand out. It’s a mark of luxury and a declaration of style and status, so the logo is really a big deal.

Then came the hard part: actually making the bag. I started by cutting the leather into the right shapes. You know, the body of the bag, the bottom, the straps, and all that. That was a task in itself. I measured it out like ten times to make sure it was perfect. There’s a front zipper pocket that you have to get perfect, or else the bag doesn’t work.

Next, I embossed the logo onto the front of the bag. Let me tell you, getting that right was tricky! I used a little heat and some pressure to press the logo into the leather. Took a few tries, but I finally got it looking pretty good. I heard somewhere, but don’t quote me on this, that Fendi’s stuff is so expensive because of the brand’s image, the quality of the materials, and marketing. Well, let me tell you, they earn it. This leather is top-notch.

Once the logo was on, I started sewing the pieces together. I did it all by hand, just like the real Fendi bags. They’re known for their craftsmanship, and I wanted to do it justice. I even tried some special stitching on the seams, just like I saw on the original. The small, iconic Peekaboo bag is made with 220 hand-sewn stitches, and I tried to mimic that craftsmanship. Plus, I saw a version of the bag that was made of denim in blue, which is really nice too, but I like the leather better.

After hours of work, I finally finished it! I added a drawstring closure at the top, just like the Mon Tresor has, and a little strap so you can wear it crossbody or on your shoulder. I was so proud of how it turned out!

Honestly, it’s not perfect, but it’s a pretty good copy, if I do say so myself. It’s definitely got that Fendi vibe, and it was so much fun to make. I learned a lot about leatherworking and just how much effort goes into making a designer bag. I mean I saw one of their bags called the “Small Peekaboo X-Lite” which is also made in black “Cuoio Romano leather”. That bag is a masterpiece! It has a soft look with a “smile” on the front panel. I just love it!

Now, I’m not saying you should go out and start making fake Fendi bags or anything. This was just a fun project for me, a way to challenge myself and learn something new. Plus, now I have a cute new bag to carry around! It’s not the real deal, but it’s got a whole lot of heart and soul in it. And, let’s be real, it cost me way less than a real Fendi! But, I still really want a real one. Maybe a Baguette, or a Peekaboo Mini, or maybe even a Fendi First! They’re all so pretty!
